Being the ordinary!

When we are in our 20s, we often tend to dream of making a difference. Starting a new business, creating a new product, employing many people, being a celebrity, serving the needy and alot more that could make people look upto you. Being that person who changed the world.

But the fun fact is, however ordinary life you live, you still end up making a huge difference. Your mere existence affects the entire network of incidents that happen simultaneously.

Let’s say, you had to cancel an uber ride to a nearby bakery. This single decision affects a chain of incidents. The uber driver would have got a longer ride and thus a better pay that day. The person who would have taken the longer uber ride, would have chosen the uber over a train journey. The train would have been delayed by 3–4 hours because of some maintainence or an accident. They reached their destination on time. Since they had cancelled the train ticket, another person who should be reaching a nearby city the next day would have gotten the seat. They would have had a very important interview. Your decision of just cancelling on a uber ride has led to someone cracking their dream interview. Who knows, the one who just cracked the interview would be the future CEO of the same firm.

Do not pressurise yourself to live an extraordinary life and make a visible difference. It is fine to live an ordinary one if you feel good. You don’t have to keep showing someone that you are unique. Because everyone is unique, no two person could go through the exact same set of situations and incidents. Practically, everyone is unique! Everyone is amazing as hell. Imagine a world without you, it wouldn’t be the same. I wouldn’t have someone reading this write-up.

Without you, I would have missed out on some beautiful moment that we shared. Maybe a refreshing debate on a topic? Or may be a short conversation appreciating your art? I would not have created something that day, if not for that short talk we had.

You are amazing, however ordinary you are. The world wouldn’t be what it is now, without you! You better live happily and keep your smile glowing

P.S. Why don’t you suggest some topics for me to think about and write, in the comments?
